Measuring with Mr. I

This week we met Mr. I from Letter People Land. He's covered with inches-Impossible Inches! We will be using inches and other units of measurement to measure things at school. You might measure some things at home, too.

We read a book entitled Biggest, Strongest, Fastest by Steve Jenkins. We learned many interesting facts about animals. Did you know that the flea is only 1/16 of an inch tall, but it can jump 8 inches into the air? That is about 130 times its own height! Your child may want to check this book out at the Sidney Elementary Library. Then you can learn more interesting facts about animals with your child.

Be sure to check out the Parent Resources. You will find links to two of my favorite websites.
