Welcome Home Mr. Baier

Sidnie's dad, Derek Baier, returned home from Kosovo for a short stay with family and friends in Sidney. He visited our classroom and shared some information about the schools, climate, and culture in Kosovo. We learned that the Serbian children go to school for half of a day, and the Albanian children go to school the other half of the day. They attend school at different times and focus on the language and customs of their culture. We were glad to have him visit, especially Sidnie, since her dad has been away from home since September. He returned to Kosovo today and he will return home in 90 days. We wish him well and hope that he can read our classroom blog posts from time to time so he can learn about all of the things Sidnie and her classmates are learning in Kindergarten.
