A Robot Visited Our Room!

We had a robot visit our Kindergarten classroom!  It was an iRobot Roomba vacuum.  It belongs to Mrs. Sheldon's neighbors, the Lueth's.  Mr. and Mrs. Lueth named their robot, Rosie.  Mr. Lueth brought Rosie to school and demonstrated how she can do the work of vacuuming .  We learned that Rosie has a "home" that she leaves and returns to when she is done working.  Rosie even plays a tune when she is ready to work and when she is ready to rest.  Rosie took a spin around our classroom and picked up some trash from the floor.  It was very exciting when she came close to our tables, chairs, and feet!  Mr. Lueth encouraged us to keep working hard in school because the inventor of Rosie had to know a lot about Math, Science, and Technology.  Many students were convinced that their family should have a Roomba robot at their house.
